Connect Firebase to Saasmetry
Catalogued so a Firebase stack can be recorded. Its management API covers provisioning only, so nothing syncs.
What Saasmetry reads
Refreshed every 15 min. Read-only throughout: Saasmetry never writes to Firebase.
Create the credential
- Create a Google Cloud service account with access to the project, and download its key.
- Paste it here to record the connection.
Worth knowing
- Nothing syncs. Firebase's own discovery document lists projects, apps, SHA certificates and operations — and no usage, cost, quota or metric resource of any kind. There is nothing here to read.
- Firebase spend lives in Google Cloud billing, not in Firebase: it needs a billing account and a BigQuery export, which is a different integration from this one.
- Crash figures come from Crashlytics, which has no read API either — Sentry or GlitchTip is what Saasmetry reads errors from.
Is it safe to paste?
A Google Cloud service account key can administer the project it is granted on, and Google issues no read-only equivalent for it. Saasmetry encrypts it and never uses its write capabilities — in fact it calls nothing at all, because Firebase exposes no usage API; the connection only records that the stack includes Firebase.
Firebase issues no read-only key, so this credential is broader than Saasmetry needs. Saasmetry only ever reads — but you should know that before you paste it, rather than after.
