What Saasmetry reads
websites:readstats:read
Refreshed every 10 min. Read-only throughout: Saasmetry never writes to Umami.
Create the credential
- Umami Cloud: Settings → API keys → Create.
- Self-hosted: there are no API keys. Give Saasmetry your username and password — it signs in once, stores only the session token, and never keeps the password.
Worth knowing
- For Umami Cloud enter cloud.umami.is as the instance URL. Saasmetry corrects it to api.umami.is, which is where the cloud API actually answers — the dashboard host 404s every request.
- A product can be several websites (the marketing site and the app). Saasmetry sums the ones you pick rather than reporting whichever matched first.
Is it safe to paste?
For password sign-in, Saasmetry stores only the returned session token and never saves your password. That session has the signed-in account's authority, so use a dedicated least-privilege account. API keys are encrypted at rest.
