Connect n8n to Saasmetry
Workflow executions and failures — the background jobs that quietly stop working.
What Saasmetry reads
workflows:readexecutions:read
Refreshed every 10 min. Read-only throughout: Saasmetry never writes to n8n.
Create the credential
n8n is self-hosted, so the credential is created in your own instance rather than on a vendor dashboard.
- n8n → Settings → n8n API → Create an API key.
- Give Saasmetry the key and your instance URL.
Worth knowing
- The public API is enabled by default but is often the first thing a security-minded self-host turns off. If Saasmetry says it is not responding at /api/v1, check that N8N_PUBLIC_API_DISABLED is not set.
- n8n keys carry the access of the account that created them, so there is no read-only variant to choose.
- Nothing on a workflow says which product it serves. Pick the workflows per product, or every one of them counts towards the workspace.
Is it safe to paste?
An n8n API key inherits the creating account's access and has no read-only variant. Saasmetry encrypts it and never uses its write capabilities.
n8n issues no read-only key, so this credential is broader than Saasmetry needs. Saasmetry only ever reads — but you should know that before you paste it, rather than after.
