1. Clerk Dashboard → the application you want to read → API keys.
2. Copy the Secret key.

Worth knowing

• A sk_test_ key reads the development instance only, so a live product looks empty.
• Clerk issues no read-only backend key. The secret key can write, and Saasmetry only ever reads with it.
• The count is instance-wide. Several products sharing one Clerk connection all show the same number.

Is it safe to paste?

A Clerk secret key can change data in the application instance. Saasmetry encrypts it and only reads user counts.

Clerk issues no read-only key, so this credential is broader than Saasmetry needs. Saasmetry only ever reads — but you should know that before you paste it, rather than after.
