Worth knowing

• The token is team-scoped, so monitors in another team stay invisible — connect that team separately.
• Availability is read for the last 30 days, so a monitor created yesterday reports on the days it has, not on a month.
• A paused monitor keeps its last availability figure rather than reporting an outage, because a monitor nobody is running is not a service that is down.

Is it safe to paste?

A Better Stack Uptime API token authorizes management operations for its team, not only report reads. Saasmetry encrypts it and never uses its write capabilities.

Better Stack issues no read-only key, so this credential is broader than Saasmetry needs. Saasmetry only ever reads — but you should know that before you paste it, rather than after.
